Let’s Pray For Our Kids

What is freedom? The absence of rules or censure? Being able to do what you want in order to be happy? What does the Bible say that freedom is?

Romans and Galatians teach that freedom is found in living in our purpose, free from constraint, to pursue exactly what our Creator intended us to be, conformed to the image of his Son.

Human’s were not created to be masters but to have a master. We will have God as our master and live in freedom, or our sinful desires will master us and we will live in bondage to sin.

As freedom’s bell is ringing around us, and we’re thankful for a human liberty purchased with the costly wage of soldier’s life, let’s remember the call of freedom’s sound coming down through the ages at the cost of God’s dear Son.

As mama’s we pray for our children to live lives free of the shackles of sin.

Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God’s slaves. Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor. 1 Peter 2:16-17

Let’s pray for our children to live free in the truest sense of the word.

Gracious Father, thank you for fighting a war we could never win and purchasing the ultimate freedom for our hearts with your Son’s blood. Help us, as mamas, to set the example of true spiritual freedom for our children. Teach them to live free to honor you, fear no one, love one another, and respect authority. By your Spirit give them power to live in their full purpose, pursuing holiness, living by grace, and free from the bondage of sin. Thank you for the freedom to teach our children your truths, make us diligent to do that regularly. Amen.

How are you setting the example of free living for your children? Do you have a child we can pray for who is struggling in sin? We would be glad to pray with you!
