Let’s Pray for our Kids

I may not relish holiday crafts, or 101 other mommy things, but I love praying for my kids. The Bible is full of promises of God’s faithfulness to the generations of those who love him.

As moms we have a powerful influence on our children’s desire to embrace the blessing of God’s favor in their lives. It’s a joy (and comfort to us worried, frazzled mama’s) to pray for them and entrust them into his hands.

We will not hide these truths from our children; we will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the Lord, about his power and his mighty wonders. Psalm 78:4

Let’s pray.

Father God, today I ask for me, and my friends, that you will give us creativity in sharing the truth of your word with our kids. Give us joyful hearts to recite the amazing things you have done in our lives and in the lives of your people throughout time. That our little ones will know from the testimony of our mouths that you are a good God and can be trusted to be faithful. May their hearts be soft to receive the truth of your character, that they will grow in faith, believing you are who you say you are. Thank you that we can trust you are true to your word and we will never be put to shame when we boldly speak of your deeds to our children. Thank you that you love them with more passion and devotion than we can. Amen.
